Mission work in Makassar city continued to run well in February 2022. The activities the congregation and me during February were as follows:
Health Recovery
The first two weeks in early February I had to recover my health for two weeks after being discharged from the hospital and not doing much activity. Starting from the third week of feeling better. I hope you will be healthier so you can continue to do mission work. Some members of the church also were sick last February, but they are getting better now.
Translation Project
I continued to translate two materials, namely "Life-Changing Questions" and "Bible Study Program." The first material has been completed 40% and the second is longer in its content and I have finished about 8% of translating. In addition, I also continued to translate the tracts to be added to the tracts that are already available.
Online Bible Courses
At least 3 times a week I check new registrations and students' answers. The students come from various cities in Indonesia. In Makassar city itself, so far there have been two students who have taken this course, and the other one is interested in face-to-face Bible study. May they be good soils so that they do not only follow the course but also want to follow Christ. Those who are in other cities that want to have a personal Bible study, I submitted to the preachers who are working in those cities, so they could follow up the study.
Distributing the Tracts
I continued to share the available tracts with a number of people and hopefully they will be interested in the offer of face-to-face learning and then contact my contact number listed on each tract.
Teaching Prospects
I taught one prospect this month using the Search For the Truth (SFT) material. We started lesson SFT One on February 24, 2022. There is no agreement on the next study because the prospect is busy in his work. I still encourage him to continue to lesson SFT Two.
Evangelism Method
I will use the evangelism method in the form of a survey of one's interest in spiritual matters by making questions on a piece of paper that I will share with people to answer, then I will ask questions directly from their answers in order to gain interest in learning face to face and make a study agreement, time and place to study. Along with this, tracts will also be distributed to them.
Bible Classes
Makassar Church of Christ held a Bible class on Sunday after worship in a rented building using a book entitled The Beginning of Our Confidence (a lesson designed for new Christians) and also an online Bible class on Friday night using another book entitled Basic Facts of Faith.
Recreation of Congregation
Sunday, February 20, 2022, Makassar congregation held a recreation at Akkarena beach, in Makassar, after worship. We enjoyed recreation by having a Bible quiz, potluck lunch and taking pictures together.
